About Bilanco Blinds

Bilanco Blinds was born in May 1972.  We are a family owned and run business.  Our factory premises and showroom are based in Grangemouth, Falkirk, Central Scotland.

Bilanco Blinds' company philosophy is to provide a service based on both quality and value for money.

Our aim is to ensure that when you buy your blinds from us it is a simple, hassle free and enjoyable experience. We want you to be a repeat customer like a great many of our customers. We want you to tell your friends about us so we need to get it right. 

We don't use cheap, poor quality components, but we will supply you with good quality blinds that will last for many years.  We always take pride in our attention to detail regarding both service and our products. 

And importantly we are local, employing local people; should you need to talk to us about anything you will get a real person who will be able to answer your questions. 

We do not employ agents or middlemen to sell our blinds. Our sales advisors are not paid commission, so we do not engage in "hard sell"  tactics.  We do not use gimmicks or dubious "offers" that are impossible to qualify for.  We do not set our price dependant on your postcode or decor. 

There are no hidden costs. The price you are quoted includes the measuring of your windows, the fitting of your blinds and VAT.

Fast & Efficient Service

Because we manufacture the vast majority of the blinds we sell,  we provide a fast and efficient service. We normally take from 3 - 4 days to manufacture and fit the majority of our customer's blind.   We have chosen the best suppliers both in quality and reliabilty to manufacture our more specialist blinds.  

Independent Manufacturer

As we are an independent manufacturer, we are not tied to one particular supplier of materials. This ensures that we keep aware of trends and fashions and that our sample books have a fantastic selection of styles and finishes, no matter what type of blind you need for your home.

5 for £99 - The Myth

Many of our competitors advertise 5 vertical blinds from £99 or £66 or £33 as a "Special Offer".

This is what is known as a "Door Opener".

The salesperson (usually working on commission only basis) has no intention of selling you these blinds at the advertised price as they will make no commission.

The colours of fabric available will usually be unpleasant colours bought as ex stock, roll ends or seconds.

You may be shown good quality fabrics in neutral colours that are part of their special offer only to be told once they have your order that they are no longer available.  You will then be shown poorer quality fabrics in unusual colours that are now the choice of special offer fabrics to you, if you fail to choose one of  these fabrics you will be forced to pick and pay for a more expensive fabric.

The intention is to get you, the customer, to choose nicer fabrics that will be a LOT more expensive than the initial £99.

If you persist in ordering the "Special Offer", the price will go up and up and up, once you pay for delivery, fitting and paying extra to have the blinds open how you want them!!
